Welcome to my blog. I want this blog to be about my relationship with feminism. I've just kind of started thinking about what feminism means to me and the role I want to play in it. I don't think gender roles are anything carved in stone, but they should be created specific to people.

Welcome to the blogging world.
I have struggled with my mom for a long time because I refuse to fall into the "traditional" role - like letting men open the car door for me or carry chair - especially if I am quite capable of doing so myself.
I wonder sometimes if I miss the boat by fighting the "traditions" / symptoms of a hierarchical society.
I have become so wrapped up in just living that I have not really given much thought to it lately.

I'm not sure what feminism is. When I lived in America whenever there was news about "feminists" there was somebody fighting or protesting. It didn't seem like a happy group.
